FILM PROCESSING AND PROOFING

Color and B&W film processing is performed continuously during business hours. E-6, C-41 and B&W Refrema film processors are constantly monitored for optimum quality and consistency. ISO changes are available in 1/8-stop increments. Fuji-Hunt chemistry is used in Color processors and Kodak X-TOL developer in the B&W processor. Custom B&W processing by hand and inspection is available upon request. We store and freshly mix a variety of powder and liquid developers. Proof sheets from color or B&W negatives are contacted onto 9x11 and 8x11 papers respectively. Enlarged proof sheets are available up to 30x40. Price Detail


LVT DIGITAL FILM OUTPUT

These are state of the art film outputs known in the industry to be the definitive best. These films from digital files will produce such astonishing continuous tone results that even a trained eye cannot distinguish them from regular, optically captured film. Available in 35mm, 21/4, 4x5 and 8x10. Price Detail


SCANNING

We offer a host of scanning options for every application and budget: from economical Frontier Scans, to affordable drum-like quality Flextight scans to High resolution and high quality Crossfield Drum scans. Frontier scans up to 40 MB from 35mm and 2 _ negative or positive film. Flextight scans up to 140 MB up to 4x5 negative or positive and up to 8x10 flat art Crossfield Scans up to 240 MB and higher depending on the original size. TYPE 'C' PRINTS

Excellent Color reproduction prints from color negatives are available in three categories of Custom, Repro and Gallery. All are hand-printed to the highest standards while individually color-corrected, dodged and burned or diffused and borders applied as requested. We print up to 30"x45" from originals up to 10x10 onto both Fuji and Kodak materials that consist of regular paper, "Super glossy", "Metallic", "Flex", "Trans" and "Clear". Price Detail


BLACK AND WHITE CUSTOM PRINTS

Our technicians are both artists and craftsmen adhering to Gray Tone's exacting standards. Simply stated, to us, black and white printing is art. From traditional hand-made, tray processed and air dried Fiber prints meticulously dodged and burned and contrast controlled and then toned, to commercial application hand made prints and machine processed custom prints made on Resin Coated Material we strive to reflect your vision to its ultimate enhanced state. We keep a multitude of different papers (Kodak, Ilford, Agfa, Oriental, Berger) on hand including Gold, Silver and Cream based. Price Detail


DUPLICATION

Transparency and negative duplications are available in 35mm, 4x5 and 8x10 from any size originals up to 8x10 in two categories of Custom quality and Repro quality. For specific tone or color shift refer to Repro quality. VPFs or the traditional way of doing transparencies from negatives are no longer available due to manufacturer's discontinuation of the material; however they are still available through digital process. MACHINE PROOFS AND REPRINTS

For those demanding the highest quality for their proof prints, Gray Tone has been the answer for almost 2 decades. These affordable prints are printed on Fuji Frontier Printer utilizing the latest laser technology and are available from 35mm and 2 negative and positive films. Prints are also made from digital files and almost any digital camera card. We use Fuji Crystal Archive paper for great results. Print sizes available: Wallets (2x 3) up to 10"x15". Price Detail


LIGHTJET OUTPUTS

INKJET DISPLAYS

Large format imaging in its most creative state. This process creates so many opportunities for the display artist in you. Paper, vinyl, backlit, canvas, all weather, clear, watercolor paper, charcoal paper, adhesive backed vinyl and multitudes of fabrics are all materials available and on hand for output on our 5000 series HP Plotter. This versatile solution to large format imaging outputs up to 60" wide and any length at an incredible true resolution of 600 dpi. using archival UV ink for extended longevity of the outputs. FINISHING

Great finishing is indispensable to a well-made print, both to preserve and to enhance the look. Exhibition quality finishing has been a hallmark of Gray Tone from early on. We offer various substrates such as Gator Board, Foam-Core, Art board and Lexan. UV Cold lamination is available in three finishes: Matte, Glossy, and Luster.
